5 Healthy + Homemade Infused Waters

Proper hydration may be key in ensuring optimal health, but that doesn't mean that drinking your 8 glasses each day has to be boring! We love infusing our daily drinking water because the fruits add subtle flavoring and nutritional benefits like antioxidants. Plus, there are so many delicious and unique combinations to try that you can make with extra fruits and vegetables that you probably already have on hand.

Since our bodies are made up primarily of water, drinking enough is essential to staying healthy. The benefits of drinking enough water are known to include everything from increased energy levels, improved metabolism, glowing skin, boosts in immunity, and even better digestion. Infusing water is a healthy alternative to soda, sports drinks and even some juices because they're free of added sugar and caffeine, so you can drink as much as you'd like of these concoctions!

To get started, you'll need a wide mouth bottle, your choice of fresh fruit, water and ice. You don't need a fancy infuser bottle, but we do recommend choosing a glass bottle or if you prefer plastic, one that is BPA-free. The trick to an infused water is to add your fruit FIRST then ice, then water.the ice. This helps to better infuse your water by keeping the fruit at the middle or bottom of your bottle.
